Paul West
Our story starts nearly 50 years ago when Paul West, our founder, was working
in insurance during the mid 1970s. As part of his services to car dealerships, he
began doing valuations to help with their manufacturer successor programs.
After selling his insurance business, Mr. West was hired to start NADA’s Estate Planning and Life Insurance business and completed hundreds of valuations on their behalf.
In 1987, Mr. West created the first and last weeks of NADA’s Dealer Candidate Academy, focusing on the financial statements of the dealership and how to execute a proper succession plan.
Mr. West then changed roles and became one of NADA’s most sought after 20-Group consultants for over 30 years. As he transitioned into this role as a 20-Group moderator, NADA allowed Mr. West to form Paul West and Associated to continue to provide the much needed service of high quality dealership valuations to the industry.
Today, Paul West & Associates has completed over 2,200 dealership valuations for all needs.
